At a time where food is increasingly mediated through screens, menus, and magazines, it becomes a lens to experience the world. A one-of-a-kind Deep Dive, Page > Plate > Page was an attempt to uncover the systems, people, histories, and stories that extend beyond the plate.
And how best to discover these new ways of consumption than by celebrating our favourite food publication, dhoop magazine? With editor & creative director Rini Singhi's insights and anecdotes, we followed the journey of food from plate to page — tracing how taste, identity, and consumption are mediated through story and form.

To accompany the experience was Chef Sanjali Desai's menu, drawn from dhoop's third issue, returned us to the plate, where ideas became edible again. Her menu included surprising pairings like murukku and ice cream, as well as nostalgic favourites like khatte baingan and laccha paratha. Paired with unique zero-proof cocktails from Sobriety Sips, and a delectable selection of drink from Moonshine Meadery, what began as an intimate discussion unfolded into experience - a kind of edible editorial.
With our own expertise in grids, guides, and editorial design, the Praxis team facilitated a collectively created zine that captured the many ways food can be read, designed, and shared. Participants translating their reflections into unique artworks that spanned collage, poetry, and even map making!
