ENTRY NO.:
ENDING 2025 WITH CURIOSITY & CREATIVITY
As we move into 2026, I felt it was important to reflect on the year that was full of insightful projects and partnerships, new connections, and how we continue to mould our vision as Praxis grows. This year wasn’t just about scale or success, but noticing that our work was guided less by output and more by critical inquiry. The special sauce at Praxis.
FROM THE STUDIO
The B.P. Hivale Education Society, having shaped young India’s minds for generations, required us to think of infrastructure over expression— that an effective identity for the brand didn’t need to compete for attention, but hold a system together. Crucial, given that the impact of the BPHES has been societal even though each of its institutions were visually disconnected. The familiarity and deep symbolism of the bindu— both a point of origin and an expanding ripple— became a foundational idea that unified the institutions and proved widely resonant across a diverse network of stakeholders.
In contrast, our work for B.Bhagat Tarachand required us to think about what differentiation means for a brand that’s never been branded! In a market where multiple Bhagat Tarachands exist (a family business now divided), clear brand distinction was blurred by shared history and common menus. Real insight emerged by spending time with the client: conversations over chai, stories shared between snacks. The resulting identity was deeply personal and wholly ownable, allowing a first time branding exercise feel authentic, while supporting what already worked.

FROM THE COMMON ROOM
This year, the Common Room became a space to investigate the driving forces underpinning creative practice. Participating in—and branding!—Bangalore Art Weekend reaffirmed the Common Room’s mission beyond our home turf in Mumbai. Our conversation with Form & Flow highlighted the role of aligned storytelling across brand touch points, while our tour of General Items reminded us that the joy of craft remains key to all design-forward enterprise. Our immersive dining experience with Dhoop Mag invited us to reframe perception itself, by thinking and eating in new ways. Through our Mixers— particularly the year-end Roundtable— we witnessed the depth of our community as a shared, generous resource. Creativity, I was reminded, creates connection.
So in 2026, we look forward to doing what feels central to our practice— facing questions with curiosity, and leaning into the knowledge of our creative network!
Wishing you all a Happy New Year!
Warmly,
Vritika, Tanishtha, and Shamika
