IMAGE MAKING & MEANING

An image is never just what it shows; it is the outcome of choices, instincts, and creative negotiations. Where does an idea begin - on a moodboard, in a passing conversation, or somewhere quieter?

With Arjun Doshi, the founder of Vitamin Studios, explore photography, art direction, lighting, set building, and the many invisible decisions that shape a final image. This isn’t a lecture - it’s an open look at processes. Trace the journey from brief to output, and see how intuition, technical skill, and storytelling intersect.

Collectively, you’ll respond to a shared prompt - ideating together to shape a moodboard, define a narrative, and make key art-direction choices. Leave this intensive session with a sharpened sensibility and skills for your own practice, on how intuition and structure shape visual outcomes.

With limited seats, this studio tour is designed for those curious about visual culture, image-making, and the labour behind what we consume every day.

- Praxis Common Room events are open to students and professionals. 18+ only. ID with age proof will be checked.
- Tickets must be purchased online only.
- Refunds for tickets will not be available. Tickets once purchased are non transferable.
- If rescheduled or moved, Praxis will give you the options of exchanging your tickets for the new date/location.
- Tickets are inclusive of entry to the venue, food, drinks and limited activities. No outside food or drink allowed.
- Photography and filming may take place at the event. If you wish not to be recorded, please inform a member of staff.
